Carboot Sale: Closure of 2015

Last Sunday was our final carboot sale of 2015.

The whole idea of our carbooting journey starts early January. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Toughen up our heart, brave face on, and we hit the road.

First carboot sale : Bandar Bukit Mahkota Seksyen 4 on 18 Jan 2015
The following week.

Second carboot sale: Kelab Tasik Putrajaya on 25 Jan 2015
We planned to go to another spot the following week. Then, Mr H was involved in an accident early Sat, 31 Jan 2015. Plans were on hold. Truth be told, I wasn't sure if we would ever go to another carboot together after that..

But, miracles do happen. Once I'm confident he's 100% ok, we went at it again.

Third carboot sale: Bandar Bukit Mahkota Seksyen 2 on 7 June 2015. Sampai2 je hujan selebat-lebatnya. Lencun kami berdua
Tak lama lepas tu, langit cerah. Yeay!!
The next carboot was during Ramadhan, again in Bdr Bkt Mahkota Seksyen 2 on 12 July 2015. No pics taken sebab lupa.

On 20 Sept 2015 we went again. This time unfortunately, we got a flat tyre. Only realized it when I was reversing the car.

Camana tu orang tangan baru baik patah nak tukar tayar?
Nasib baiklah Ayah arrived at the scene minutes later. Haha tq Ayah!! And jiran tingkat bawah pun kebetulan ada. Jadi mereka berdualah our heroes awal pagi tu. Ingatkan tak jadi pergi dah. Rupa-rupanya ada lagi rezeki kami hari tu. Sampai betul2 lambat kat tapak Bdr Bkt Mahkota Seksyen 4. Lambat sangatnya sampai dapat tapak paaaaling hujung. Tapi, alhamdulillah ok juga sale.

The next carboot, I want to try out a new place. Bandar Seri Putra. Menyesal tak sudah. Hahaha!!

29 Nov 2015. Sunyi sepi
Our last for this year was in Bdr Bkt Mahkota Seksyen 4.

6 Dec 2015. Great day. Good sale
I would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who've contributed towards our carboot experience. Especially my colleagues in Perimbun. To our family relatives yang contribute barang2 juga, thank you all.

To my dear sister, thank you for the stuffs and the visit kat tempat berniaga sebagai tanda sokongan moral. To my dearest brother, thank you sebab selalu teman akak berniaga and tolong Abg Wan angkat barang2 berat. The most special thanks are to my beloved parents. Setiap kali kami nak gerak pergi berniaga, doa Ayah and Mama sentiasa mengiringi kami. Thank you sebab bagi kitorang barang, siap tolong kami jual lagi. Habis berniaga, Ayah and Mama tak pernah lupa call kami tanya khabar. Thank you so much.

So, next year nak buat lagi ke? Well, we'll cross the bridge when the time comes..

Posponed Birthday Celebration

Yes you CAN postpone birthday celebration according to MY book of life. Haha

My birthday was way, way long ago. But, time seems to constrain our plan. Ada je yg tak kena. Kalau sy cuti, Mr. H keje. Kalau dia cuti, kita pula ada meeting. Kalau dua2 free, anak2 pula tak sihat. Finally, kitorang decide well.. Kalau ada masa je kita jalan. Tak yah nak plan bagai2. Senang.

In September, when asked what I wish for as a gift, as usual my answer is nothing. Haha really. I wish for none. Tak pernah harap dapat apa2. As long as he remembers, that's the best gift ever. Still, he took me to various shops utk tengok oven. Yes. Oven. Because he knows how much I wanted to buy an oven tapi duit tak mengizinkan. Hehehe. Everytime kitorang jumpa oven yang size boleh masuk dapur kami yg petite tu, at the last moment I tak nak. I felt, kalau oven tu.. takdelah urgent sangat nak. Lagipun, kalau ada oven, lagi rancak memasaknya. lagi gemuk kami jadi. Haha!!

Kebetulan bulan tu ada Matta Fair. So, kami ronda2 kat sana. Then he said I bawa you pergi vacation nak? Cari yang dlm budget I. Of course lah nak! So this holiday is our hasil rembatan di Matta Fair haritu @ my birthday gift part I. Read here. Hahaha ada part I lagi tu sebab Mr H bajet2 nak pergi 3 hari 2 mlm, but I cadang pergi 2 places; 1 night each.

Jadi, for Part I, we went to Goldcoast Morib Resort. I chose this place sebab tak pernah sampai. Deal dia pun sangat murah. At RM150, we got a studio suite, private jacuzzi, breakfast for two, 4 tickets to the waterpark.

Since saya jarang2 dapat drive long distance, I drove us there. Lebih kurang 80km from our place, an hour drive. Seronok!

Dah sampai
Kat lobby
We arrived around 2pm. Seronok sebab dapat sampai on time. Tapi rupa2nya check in time pkl 3. They were strict on this. Jadi, check in je dulu kat kaunter then we waited until 3pm baru boleh ambil room key. We filled up our time by ronda2 area hotel dulu.

Can see the water park from the lobby
Sesekali Mama masuk blog sendiri
Pkl 3.15 camtu kami masuk bilik.

Then, to the pool!!

Hitam Mama and anak2
Ada this giant water slide. Mr H nak bawa anak2 naik. I said oh no. No. No. No. Dangerous. Anak2 takut. Saya takut. What if you terlepas anak? Anak tenggelam? Mr H said jangan risau. Saya ada kan? Saya peganglah anak kuat2. Haha yakin ke saya? Tanya Nisa. Dia tak nak. Tanya Aira. Dia nak.

Lebih 10 kali dorang berdua turun naik benda ni
At last, Nisa naik sekali with me. Sampai bawah, kami berdua tak mau dah. Hahaha!!

Malam tu, kami dinner kat Pantai Morib. Sedapnya lahai...

Bersepah meja punyalah menikmati makanan + lapar
King Ikan Bakar. Memang sedap!
Ada pasar malam jual2 barang kat sebelah medan selera. Bw budak2 berjalan. Terbang gak RM12 beli mainan. Lepas tu pergi taman permainan kat situ
Ada batu peringatan kat pantai ni
Tomorrow morningnya kami breakfast kat hotel. Tak bestnya, masa breakfast is 7-10am only. Selalunya hotel bagi breakfast sampai 10.30am. Anyway, breakfast spread was superb!

Lepas tu, sambung mandi lagi sampai check out pkl 12 tgh hari.

Sebelum balik, kami pergi balik Pantai Morib. Malam tadi pergi tak nampak apa. Air lautnya macam PD lah. Tapi area tu really reminds me of Esplanade Kudat. Ada benteng batu. Masa kat Kudat dulu, selalu petang2 bila takde apa nak buat, duduk kat benteng Esplanade Kudat, menung2 tgk ke tengah laut yang biru-hijau jernihnya. Angin menderu2. Teringat orang-orang yang ada di Semenanjung. Hehehe tetiba nostalgia...

All in all:
  1. Goldcoast Morib Hotel ni 3 stars hotel. Harga reasonable. Boleh pergi kalau budget tak besar.
  2. Main attraction is the water park. Nothing else.
  3. Agak lama hotel ni. They could do better by at least gantikan benda2 dlm bilik yang dah rosak/usang like door knobs, lights, switches.
  4. Food was great!
  5. Lobby panas giler. Pasanglah air-cond full blast kot ye pun nak jimat. First impression is important you know
  6. Easy access to the beach. We went but air tgh surut.
Thank you Mr H for this wonderful short vacation. Tak sabar nak celebrate Part II plak.

Lovey dovey feeling

Carboot Sale Bandar Seri Putra

Kali ni cerita fresh.

Semalam (Sabtu) rasa boring sebab En. H kene keje. Bangun pagi, termenung2 fikir nak buat apa hari ni? Tiba2 rasa macam nak buat carboot sale. Barang2 banyak ni. Cuti sekolah pun. Drp duduk2 saja menggemukkan badan, baik gi cari duit extra.

Cepat2 online Goodscycle. Ala.. Yang ada utk esok di Bdr Seri Putra. Tak pernah pergi lagi tempat ni tapi pernahlah lalu kat tepi jer. Nampak tak berapa happening. Anyway, kerana semangat yang sedang berkobar2 jgn dipadam, daftarlah jugak utk tapak esok.

Dah daftar tapak
Mr H waktu tu kat site Seremban. Dia pun cakap tempat tu mcm suram jer. Tapi as usual, wife mesti menang punya. Ngeh3x

Dari pagi pukul 9 sampai 6.30 petang saya mengemas barang2 utk berniaga. Biasanya bab mengemas barang ni buat dgn Mr H, tapi kerana dia masih kat site, saya buatlah sensorang. Penatnya...

Mr H balik rumah pkl 8 mlm. Terus sibuk pula dgn loading barang masuk kereta. Kami ni rumah tinggi. Makanya, bertrip2lah mengangkut barang masuk kereta. Haha. Siap semua pukul 12 mlm. Tido..

Siap loading barang 12 tgh mlm
Awal pagi dah gerak ke Bdr Seri Putra. Sampai sana pkl 7.10pg. Tengok2 tempat carboot ni bersambung dgn pasar pagi. Cari2 spot sampai ke hujung pasar, semua full. Akhirnya, datang seorang organizer suruh kami pergi satu kawasan yang terpisah dari pasar pagi tu.

Huhuhuhu tak bestnya spot.. Dahlah kat hujung, terpisah pula drp group carbooters yang lain. Sapa nak lalu kawasan kami ni? Tanya dgn booters kat sebelah. Best ke tempat ni? Dia kata so-solah. Alahai..

Hati dah down ni. Saya cakap dgn Mr H "tak menjadi tempat ni". Mr H kata takpe2, kita dah sampai. Try jelah..

Tapak kami
Dah siap buka barang berniaga, still TAKDE ORANG. Hai.. menung2 je ke ni?

Slow2 buyers datang. Beli sikit2 je sebab dorang dah shopping sakan kat group carbooters yang besar kat seberang jalan. Alahai..

Senyum dalam kiciwa
By 10 pg, saya dah malas tunggu. Ajak Mr H balik. Mr H dok senyum2, gelak2. Hot kita dibuatnya.

"Apenye yang Abg gelak2 ni?"

"Awak tu lah.. Selalunya ligat. Hari ni muncung sungguh. Kesian pun ada. Nak gelak pun ada. Kata tadi no expectation..."

Satu penumbuk sampai kat bahu. Huh!

Pkl 11 lebih kami gerak balik. Kira punya kira duit, jauh rendah dari sasaran.

Balik tu kami terus singgah lunch. Saya kurang selera nak makan. Kene gelak lagi dgn Mr H. Huh!

Yang clear tu Mr H punya. Ni bukti saya tak lalu makan. Haha!!
"Takpelah Yang. Rezeki juga tu. Siapa nak bagi kita sebanyak tu free2 jer? Yang penting, kita dah usaha. Next time pulak kita try ok?"

Hurm.. Seb baik dia pandai mengayat...

The Moment I Almost Lost Him

Dah lama nak tulis pasal kisah ni. Cuma.. I'm not ready yet..

Now, sekolah pun dah habis, I have the time to recall the moment when I almost lost him.

Along these 5 years, undeniably tahun ni paling kami diuji Allah SWT. It all started hujung tahun lepas. Mr H had problems with his salary. But rezeki Allah tu ada selagi berusaha. Alhamdulillah dapatlah cover expenses sikit2 dgn berniaga. He managed to secure a new job which will start in May 2015. Then... the accident.. Read here

He was coming back from Terengganu. Drove safely to his office in Puchong. He then changed to his motobike, on his way home to us when the car hits him. A passerby called the ambulance as he was bleeding profusely (Sampai sekarang tak tahu siapa yg call. Kalau dpt jumpa encik ni, mmg sy nak sangat2 say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you sir...) My Ayah and brother arrived at the scene 10 minutes after the accident. Ayah accompanied him on the JPAM's ambulance to the nearest hospital, Hospital Kajang.

Location of the accident. He was thrown a few feet into the air and fell onto the road, rolled and ended in the middle of the leftmost lane. Syukur he managed to dragged himself onto the grass.

Splotches of blood on the visor. Scratches were from rolling on the road.
Hospital Kajang. On a makeshift bed along the corridor by a sink. Poor ventilation, poor service, the air is permanently stinking of urine, not hygienic what-so-ever here
The blood wouldn't stop seeping out of his bandage, soaking the bed sheet.
When I first saw him, it was around 3.00 am. We were in the Emergency Department. He was very pale, dirt all over his face. I took the end of his blanket, gently trying to clean his face. A doctor saw us and he handed some clean gauze, cotton and cold water for me. It really was a small gesture, but I was so touched. Thank you doctor.

I didn't say much. He was just lying there, eyes closed. A few times, he opened his eyes wide, frantically looking around. I held his face close, telling him I'm there, I'll take care of him, everything's gonna be ok. Dia masih terkejut, trauma.

The doctors came then and carried out various test and scans. I stood some distance away, yet he was still within my vision.

"Puan isteri Encik Ridzuan?"
Ya.

Then the doctors explained to me everything. A broken wrist, a near amputated index finger at the tip, deep cut around his right heel. Internally, he's ok. The head scan shows that everything is ok too.

Was he wearing a helmet?
Yes.

When did he last ate?
Around 6 hours ago.

Ada penyakit berjangkit? Merokok? Minum alkohol? On substances?
No. No. No. No

Ada apa2 alahan?
Tiada.

Surprisingly, through all the interrogation, medical explanation, filling up various forms, my mind was clear. I was very, very calm. Alhamdulillah.

The doctors worked fast and professionally, and managed to join his fingers back. They cemented his right arm. His heel worried me as the bleeding won't stop. My fear became true as by night, he was experiencing high fever due to infection.

We waited almost a day for an opening in the operation theater. He was mumbling in his fever-induced sleep. Sometimes, he jolted up in excruciating pain. I just couldn't bear watching him in pain no more. That's it! I fought our way out of Hospital Kajang at 1.00am, got him into our car (soaked bandages and all) and drove straight to Hospital Putrajaya.

It was a great relief once I handed him over to Putrajaya's staffs. Rezeki kami, ada katil kosong dlm wad lelaki. Alhamdulillah! By 4.00am, we were in his clean, comfortable ward, him heavily sedated and sleeping. Only then I realised that I've been on my feet for almost 28 hours.

Deeply asleep
I couldn't sleep. I tried to but I couldn't. I guess I'm scared that I'll "loose" him if I shut my eyes. An hour later we were told that his operation will be carried out at 6.00am.

The smile to console the wife who was worried sick right before being pushed off to OT
I followed him to the OT. A nurse showed me to a waiting room next to it. When he's out, they'll call for me. He's out of my sight now. If felt like forever. All those while, a lot a things went through my mind. Yet, I was still ok and calm. I told myself repeatedly everything's ok, everything's ok. Allah ada. Be strong. He needs me. Anak2 needs me. Again and again...

Two hours later, he's out. Alhamdulillah they managed to cleaned and stitched his gaping heel back in place. Then, it's just recuperating for another two days in the ward.

Mak took over my place once he was settled in his ward. I went home to the kids.

Mama pergi mana?
Mama pergi jaga Ayah.

Mana Ayah? Bila Ayah nak balik?
Ayah sakit. Ayah kat hospital tempat Aunty Tina work. Dia tak boleh balik lagi.

Nanti Ayah habis work Ayah balik?
(Sedih2 dah ni..) Ye. Habis work Ayah balik.

For the next three days, I was juggling between him, the kids, school and a bad-case fever and cough. Penat jangan cakaplah. Mata rasa sakit sbb tak cukup tidur. Makan pun macam robot, asal telan je sebab perlu tenaga nak bekerja and jaga Mr H. I had help from Mama and Mak to take care of the house and the children. Mama came to the house everyday to send raw materials for Mak to cook. Syukurnya ada support system yg sgt mantap. Thank you Mama and Mak...

Sob2x...
Happy face being showered with gifts and flowers. Haha!
The rescuers, Ayah and Izzad
When Mr H was finally discharged, new problems arises. Since his arm and leg affected were on the right side, he couldn't move on his own. He too couldn't eat, bath or go to the loo by himself. And he has to go for wound dressing everyday at a clinic nearby. So, I rushed back home everyday from school to bath and feed him, then to the clinic. It was awkward at the beginning but after a few days, we got the hang of it. And making things easier, a kind-hearted friend of Ayah loaned us a wheelchair!!

Bila lagi nak masuk parking OKU kan?
Learning to use the utensils again
His recuperating rate was super fast. Ramai tanya apa yg Mr H buat.

Varieties of supplement
These were his injuries. Please be mind that the following images may be gruesome to some...

The heel and leg

The finger

The arm

Broken wrist

The doctors estimated his recovery will take around 2 months. Alhamdulillah for him, it took only 6 weeks. Sekarang Mr H is healthy and well. His deformed fingertip was the only permanent scar of what we've been through. He's currently working in a new company and getting paid for it. Hehe.

How has this experience change us?
In a lot of ways. But it solidified a few things about us:

Suami yang baik adalah suami yang buncit.
Isteri yang baik adalah seorang yang tembam

Hahaha!!

Kasih tiada hujung
